The official presentation of the “3rd City of Messina Trophy – 1st Carmelo La Corte Memorial”, scheduled for Sunday 21 April. The 10 km national “bronze level” event, announced by FIDAL and organized by Podistica Messina with the collaboration of the Municipality of Messina, is valid as the third round of the “29th Sicilian Running Grand Prix 2024” and for the Regional Individual Running Championship 10km Masters. The important race will coincide with the arrival in the city of the Strait of the fourth RUN4HOPE, the relay that started on April 13th in all Italian regions, which this year will be alongside AIL against leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Speakers at the press conference will include: the mayor of Messina Federico Basile, the councilor for sports policies Massimo Finocchiaro, the trustee of CONI Messina Francesco Giorgio, the provincial president of FIDAL Messina Nunzio Scolaro and Santi Giacobbe, president of Podistica Messina. During the meeting with journalists, which will begin at 11.00, all the details of the sporting event will be revealed, including the number of members, who will defend the colors of the nine Sicilian provinces.
