Starting on Thursday 18th April 5th edition of the GIC,the Italian Concrete Days – Italian Concrete Days, the main exhibition-conference at European level expressly dedicated to machines, equipment and technologies for the concrete supply chain, prefabrication, but also the demolition of reinforced concrete structures, the transport and recycling of aggregates, continuous flooring and screeds, scheduled until April 20, 2024 in the pavilions of the Piacenza Expo.

GIC, at Piacenza Expo from 18 to 20 April
The one in 2024 already on the eve it is looming as a record-breaking edition for the GIC, both for the impressive number of Italian and foreign exhibitors present (over 260), and for square meters of exhibition space, which this year, in addition to the two pavilions of the Piacenza Expo, also includes a large external exhibition area where large machines and systems will also be on display.
The national and international relevance of GIC is also witnessed by 62 patronages received from the main trade associations – Italian and foreign – and from institutions, among which Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, air Force, Enac, Anas, Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Municipality of Piacenza And Confindustria Piacenza.
Safety at work, ecological transition and environmental sustainability of the supply chain, PNRR investments and safety of public works are some of the issues at the center of the rich schedule of conferences and workshops scheduled during the Piacenza event (the complete list on http://www .gic-expo.it/).
Of particular interest is the conference that will open the Fair: “INFRASTRUCTURES IN PORTS AND TRANSPORT AND RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CONCRETE INDUSTRY” (Room A, 10.30 am),organized in collaboration with SHIP2SHORE. Among the speakers, Philip LagoDirector of Industrial Certifications RINA Genoa, Mauro BarbettaCommercial Director GENERAL SISTEM VENEZIA e Francesca ArenaAdSP Western Ligurian Sea Genoa and Savona Vado.
There is also great anticipation for another appointment scheduled on the opening day, organized by RENTAL BLOG in collaboration with ASSODIMI/ASSONOLO: “THE RENTAL OF MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT IN THE CONCRETE INDUSTRY CHAIN” (Room D, Hall 1, 2.30 pm).
The journalist and Chairman International TRUCK OF THE YEAR, Gianenrico Griffiniwill instead moderate the meeting “MATERIALS, MACHINES AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONCRETE INDUSTRY CHAIN” (Room B, 09.30 am), organized by A&T – Set-ups and transport And Concrete News.
Opening
As tradition, the opening day will be held alongside the GIC the event ICTA-ITALIAN CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY AWARDS, the award ceremony for Italian companies, entrepreneurs and professionals in the sector who have proven particularly worthy in the last 18 months. The event will be followed by the now indispensable “GIC by Night”, the special evening opening of the exhibition center dedicated to exhibitors and their guests, with refreshments and artistic entertainment.
April 19th
The first edition of the IDRA-Italian Demolition & Recycling Awards (another novelty in this fifth edition of GIC), during which those Italian companies and professionals who have particularly highlighted themselves in the last 18 months in the demolition, decommissioning of industrial plants and structures and recycling of demolition aggregates sectors will be rewarded, recognizing their professionalism, development and the strategic role.
