“To increase productivity, companies must give themselves an industrial dimension that is greater than the current one. The sector must become more attractive, learn to communicate with new technologies, give itself an industrial dimension and continue on this path. Strong action is needed at the level of planning in the area and certainly a response is also needed from the supply side, therefore from the world of those companies”. This was said by the CEO of Trieste Trasporti spa and Arriva Udine, Aniello Semplice, on the sidelines of the XVIII National Asstra Conference held in Rome.

“There is also a need for stronger awareness on the part of the world of work and therefore on the part of the trade union organizations because there is no doubt – continued the CEO – that if it is true, as it is true, that productivity in Italy is among the lowest found in Europe today, productivity in local public transport is certainly no exception. Out of 100 million trips, we manage to intercept 10 million, i.e. less than 10%, when things go well.”
