The Sports Judge Dr. Stefano Palazzi, assisted by Irene Papi and the AIA Representative Mr.
Silvano Torrini imposed a fine of 2,500 euros on Catania. Sanction imposed on the rossozzurri club for the following reasons:
A) to have almost all of its supporters (90%) positioned in the Curva Nord Sector – Upper Red and Lower Blue Sector sung in the 26th minute of the first half, offensive and insulting chants towards opposing fans which, in application of the principles enunciated by the CGF at United Sections in the decision published in CU 179/CGF (2013/2014), issued following an appeal from Frosinone Calcio, must be classified as vulgar insults and in poor taste, but not suitable for raising be discriminating behavior, repeated for three minutes;
B) to have almost all of its supporters (80%) positioned in the Curva Sud Sector – Upper Red and Lower Blue Sector intoned:
1. in the 29th and 45th minutes of the second half, offensive and insulting chants towards opposing fans which, in application of the principles enunciated by the CGF at United Sections in the decision published in CU 179/CGF (2013/2014), issued following an appeal from Frosinone Calcio, must be classified as vulgar insults and in poor taste, but not suitable for raising be discriminating behavior; repeated in the first circumstance for two minutes and once in the second circumstance;
2. in the 38th minute of the second half, an offensive chorus towards the opposing fans;
C) for facts contrary to the rules regarding order and safety and for violent facts committed by his supporters, which constitute a danger to public safety, consisting in having thrown, in the 25th minute of the first half, a half-full bottle of water into the playing area on the athletics track, without consequences. Continuation considered, measure of the sanction in application of the articles. 6, 13, paragraph 2, 25, paragraph 3 and 26 CGS, having assessed the overall nature of the facts and the particular odiousness of the chants under A) and under B) n.1 and considering the organizational models implemented pursuant to art. 29 CGS (r. federal proc., RCC).
