As widely announced for several days, the descent of a cold drop from France to the Strait of Sicily has brought the rain back to Sicily. This time the rainfall also affected the areas hit hard by the drought, with contributions of over 40/50 liters of rain per square meter. Of course, they won’t solve the drought problem, but at least they have given a breath of oxygen to plants and soils, scorched by drought.
After the rains and thunderstorms of the last few hours over the weekend, the weather will quickly improve, thanks to the removal of the cold drop towards Greece. However, it must be said that infiltrations of cooler air will remain active at high altitude, ready to cause instability in the inland mountains during the afternoon hours, with the formation of the usual heat storms. The currents at altitude from N-NW will push the phenomena, ready to develop on Etna and the Nebrodi area, towards the coasts of southern Sicily, leaving the Messina area dry. Also noteworthy is the increase in maximum temperatures, which on Sunday could reach values above that +23°C +24°C.

A day awaits us characterized by partially cloudy skies along the Strait of Messina and little cloudy skies in the other sectors. Between late morning and the middle of the day, medium-sized cumulus clouds will form between Etna and the Peloritani, assuming a notable development. In the evening, slightly cloudy skies will prevail almost everywhere. Maximum temperatures will increase, with values ready to reach peaks of +22°C. Light winds with a breeze and seas ranging from slightly rough to almost calm in the evening.

Sunny day with little cloudy skies in all areas, except for some cumulus clouds forming on the inland mountains. The climate, thanks to the greater sunshine, will become warmer, with maximum temperatures ready to reach +24°C. The ventilation will blow very weakly, with a breeze on the coasts. As a result the seas will all become almost calm.
