The strong wind that is blowing in the Varese area and in the Milan area is the cause of the serious accident that occurred this morning, 16 April, shortly after midday in Cinisello Balsamo.
A 29-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by some wooden panels that fell, due to the gusts, from a roof under construction located on the ninth floor inside the courtyard of the building located in Via Martiri Palestinesi.
The 29-year-old was hit by material falling from the ninth floor, suffering head and facial trauma: the man was hospitalized in code red, which indicates maximum severity, at the Cinisello Balsamo hospital.
A 66-year-old man was also injured in the accident. Although he was not hit by the falling materials, he suffered bruises to his back and leg in an attempt to rescue the 29-year-old.
The 66-year-old was taken to the emergency room of San Gerardo in Monza under code green, his condition is not serious. The ambulance, two ambulances, the firefighters and the local police intervened on site.
