Presented today, in the Biribissi room of the Casino della City of Flowersthe 15th edition of Sanremo Junior and the 25th of Gef, the Festival of Creativity in schools, respectively reserved for singers aged 6 to 15 and students aged 6 to 19.
Gef and Sanremo Junior return to the City of Flowers
Present, among others, was the patron of the event, the Knight Paolo Albertithe director of the Maestro orchestra Mario Natale and the Tourism Councilor of the Municipality of Sanremo Giuseppe Faraldi. Sanremo Junior has the patronage of Palazzo Bellevue and the Liguria Region, the Gef organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Sanremo, patronage of UNESCO, The Coni, Liguria Region, Province of Imperia And International Institute of Humanitarian Law.
The singing competition
There are 26 singers – all aged between 6 and 15 – representing as many nations taking part in the world final, Wednesday 17 April at Ariston Theatrewith competitors coming from Europe, but also fromIndonesia and give it United States of America, from Central Asia and the Northeast of the Old World. It is, at the moment, the edition with the highest number of nations represented. They will be accompanied, during the live performances, by Sanremo Junior Orchestra, with 32 elements. The jury is chaired by the singer-songwriter Franco Fasano.
The Festival of Creativity
The next day will start Gef, reserved for schools (for groups) aged 6 to 19 who will perform in all forms of art, from music to dance, from painting to cinema with all the nuances of creativity represented in the great festival dedicated to the expression of young people. They will all perform at the Ariston, excluding theatrical forms, on stage on Friday morning and afternoon at Sanremo Casino Opera House. Saturday evening, final evening, presentation of prizes to the protagonists of the Gef and the various awards of the Sanremo Junior. Including an award, within the Gef, addressed to the parish priest of Santo Stefano al Mare Don Umberto Toffani. On Saturday afternoon, however, the parade of all the Gef groups and the Sanremo Junior participants through the streets of the City of Flowers (weather permitting). In any case, all the performances of the two events, live streaming on their respective (and namesake) channels YouTube.
