NOVARA – In respect of the rights of the persons under investigation and the presumption of innocence, as far as the state is concerned, subject to further investigation and pending trial, the Novara State Police has identified four people, one of whom was a minor at the time of the events, all living in the capital, believed to be the perpetrators of a robbery that took place in July 2021 in Novara to the detriment of a 19-year-old boy (at the time of the events) suffering from a disability.
Specifically, the four suspects, after having approached the victim in the “Sant’Agabio” neighborhood and accused her of the theft of a moped, took him to a garage, part of a popular complex also present in the same neighborhood, and after having hit him with slaps on the face, they took away his mobile phone with thirty euros in banknotes inside the cover.
After unsuccessfully requesting his stolen goods back, the young man fled to avoid receiving further beatings.
The young man, together with his mother, requested the intervention of the police who promptly arrived on the scene and following what was declared in the complaint by the mother and the offended person, an investigation was started conducted by the Flying Squad which led to the referral in a state of freedom of the four subjects, of which two already burdened by police records for crimes against property, for aggravated robbery in conspiracy, to the local Public Prosecutor’s Office and to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court of Turin.
