Thursday 18 April at 6.30 pm, the Association of Friends of Solidarity Unit, with the patronage of the Municipality of Senigallia and the support of ANPI, Fondazione Primo Maggio and Istituto Gramsci – Marche, will inaugurate, at the EXPO-EX premises in gardens of the Rocca Roveresca, the photographic exhibition Photographic history of the PCI of Senigallia. From the Liberation to 1990.

The exhibition retraces, through a wide selection of photographs from various archives, the role, weight and main stages of the sections of the Italian Communist Party in the Senigallian area: from demonstrations for work to anti-fascist ones, from the Feste dell’Unità to the main political initiatives of the territory over the course of over forty years of history. Inside the exhibition, organized into five thematic sections, each introduced by a short presentation, there is also a tribute to the faces of the companions who have animated, since their birth, the life and activity of the Senigallian sections of the PCI.

The exhibition will be presented on Thursday 18 April at 5pm, at the Biblioteca Antonelliana in Senigallia, with the participation and interventions of the curators; During the presentation and within the exhibition, a series of video interviews will also be broadcast with some comrades who have made the history of the party and our city, with important references to the political life of Senigallia, to the anti-fascist struggles and to the war of Liberation.

During the presentation, the exhibition catalog edited by Ventura Edizioni will then be illustrated, which collects the selected photos and which could be an important testimony to a story that is still alive and current. The exhibition, with free entry, will be open to visitors from 18 to 25 April and will be open every afternoon from 5.30pm to 8.00pm, on Saturdays and Sundays also in the morning from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
