Four people from Catania have been reported by the police in a state of freedom because, during a check in the middle of the night in Ragusa, they were traveling in a Fiat Panda with tools useful for forcing the locks.

The check, which took place around 2.30 am, was carried out by the agents of the Flying Squad, engaged in the controls of the territory prepared by the Police Commissioner of Ragusa, Vincenzo Trombadore, to prevent crimes in general, in particular predatory crimes and thefts of motor vehicles.

The staff of the Flying Squad of the Ragusa Police Headquarters reported 4 people from Catania, aged 45, 35, 33 and 22 respectively, as being in a state of freedom, as they were found in possession of tools suitable for forcing locks, the four were already known to the police forces ‘order.

The police, suspicious of the presence of the four subjects at that time and in that place, searched their car; during the search they found various tools suitable for opening locks and removing vehicles which were immediately seized.

In particular, the agents also seized a scanner for reading “OBDII” car control units, an emergency starting device and other tools, some of which were suitably modified to intervene on the ignition switch of the vehicles.
