An Easter Sunday that should have been one of celebration and joy turned into a day of mourning for the community of Padua. The news of the sudden death of Giulio Tassinato, 32, a thirty-two year old full of life, struck everyone like a bolt from the blue.
Giulio’s heart suddenly stopped beating on March 31st, Easter day. A sudden illness that forever extinguished the dreams and expectations of a young man full of life. A tragedy that left everyone who knew and loved him speechless.
Giulio loved life and had a great passion for fishing and rugby. He had played with good results in the youth teams of Cus Padova and Petrarca. But his true professional vocation was in the world of information technology. He worked as a project manager at Sipe, a company in Scorzè in the province of Venice. He shared his life with his partner Elisa, in their home in Vigonza.
Giulio’s funeral was celebrated on 4 April in the church of Voltabarozzo in Padua. There were many who wanted to give him a final farewell, testimony to the affection that Giulio managed to arouse in all those who knew him. Among the human qualities of the thirty-two year old, the sense of friendship, goodness of heart and the ability to be a glue between friends stood out. Giulio Tassinato was, in fact, a man capable of creating bonds, of uniting people, of being loved by all.
