The competitions of the intense weekend of international youth volleyball come into full swing this morning, for the Bussinello and Spring Cup Trophies that the Anderlini Volleyball School organizes in five municipalities in Modena, where the thirty-five courts on which the qualifiers will be played are set up, which they will run out tomorrow morning, before the finals, all scheduled at PalaAnderlini. A total of 126 teams will be at the start, 92 for the Spring Cup divided into the Under 11 – 13 -14 female and Under 11 – 13 – 15 male categories, and 34 between the Under 16 female and Under 17 male categories, as regards the Bussinello Trophy . In addition to the hosts of the Anderlini teams, there will be teams from all over Italy, as well as numerous foreign delegations from Germany, France, Spain, Poland and Bulgaria: overall, over 1800 athletes aged 10 to 17 are preparing to give themselves battle, in events that have now become a point of reference in Italian and European youth volleyball. New this year is the ‘Volleyball Without Borders: Inclusive Parade in the Heart of Modena’ event, in the streets of the center of Modena in which all the delegations will take part this afternoon: this year the Anderlini Spring and the Trophy Bussinello will take on the colors of the European Union. The official partner of the two tournaments will in fact be Scout, an Erasmus+Sport project co-financed by the European Union, which will see the participation of four delegations from the Carles Vallbona Sports Association and four from Volleyball Nancy, partner of the Scout project.
In the afternoon the tournaments will be paused, and all the Spring Cup and Bussinello Trophy kids will meet in the city center for two moments, one of play reserved for the Under 11 category and one of greeting and presentation to the Citizens. The event “Volleyball Without Borders: Inclusive Parade in the heart of Modena” is organized in collaboration with Modena Amore Mio with the patronage of the Municipality of Modena and Panathlon Modena, and the fundamental will be the logistical support of the Italian Red Cross – Modena Committee.
