MARNATE – We shouldn’t get involved in parental ties. But when it comes to politics, the situation is very different. Adding salt to an electoral challenge that already promises to be exciting, as the mayor and former mayor face each other (divided by politics, but linked by kinship), there is news of the birth of a third list. The logo is already there, but also the inspirations, that is the outgoing Northern League member (not from the League, but from the centre-right list led by Scazzosi) Gianluigi Guzzetti and the popular liberal Luca Vergani. But let’s go in order.
Scazzosi is there. All that was missing was the official status
Today, Thursday 28 March, is the day of the official announcement of Marco Scazzosi’s return to the field. The former mayor, from Forza Italia, will lead the centre-right list in the June elections. Coalition that presents itself in this round united with the Brothers of Italy and the League. A Northern League which however loses another piece (at least in the electoral challenge), or Gianluigi Guzzetti who a few months ago greeted the Galli majority (together with Cisari). A position which at that time was preparatory to the candidacy with the united centre-right. But the vetoes weighed heavily on Guzzetti and so Scazzosi had to make a virtue of necessity. Indeed, it is Guzzetti himself, albeit in a soft manner, who distances himself from the League (in the last council there was a passage in which the councilor took a different position than his Northern League colleague) and apparently also from the list.
Again to stay in the Carroccio area, it should also be taken into account that Luigino Luppi, now a former Northern League member who has been at odds with the Carroccio for some time, as well as having always taken the defense of the Galli majority, will continue to bring water to Qui Per Esserci. In short, it will be interesting to see how much the nouvelle vague of the Marnate League weighs in terms of votes, piloted in these latitudes by the deputy mayor of Gorla Maggiore Renato Graziolinet of the “rebels”.
Pozzoli and the civic wing
In Scazzosi’s team there is also the civic component. That of Per Marnate, a list that in the last elections was led by Roberto Pozzoli. Now it is not yet clear whether Pozzoli will run himself, what is more likely is that in the geography of internal balances the civics will have a representative on the council. Who if not Pozzoli.
The third list is there. Perhaps
In unsuspecting times in Marnate there was only one person who believed in an almost fideistic way in the possibility of creating a third list distant from the parties, but also from Elisabetta Galli’s team. And this person is Luca Vergani, a talking cricket on a local scale, the scourge of a policy that is too much a slave to tactics and poor in ideas. Now, what project Vergani has in mind for Marnate is still to be revealed, he is certainly no longer alone. The group of disappointed people seems to have grown. Vergani himself gives the first names, «the group includes Guzzetti and Tiziana Marino». Already ready too the symbol and the name of the list: a hand with a stylized family and the writing that “People at the centre” that embraces the logo. Will there really be a third wheel on the June ballot papers? “The collection of signatures will begin in the next few days”, this is currently the reassurances of those who are working on the hypothesis.
