In Todi 5,000 students from all over Italy with Tw Euroschool
Four days, from 17 to 20 April, the national school festival
The 2024 edition of TWS Euroschool, which will be held in Todi, was presented yesterday, Monday 18 March, in the Press Room of the Chamber of Deputies from 17 to 20 April.
The event, born in 1996, is characterized as a large educational festival aimed at schools throughout Italy. One month after the start of the event, 3,500 students and teachers have already booked their participation, but the aim is to exceed 5,000 attendances during the four days.
The press conference was opened by the president of the culture, science and education commission of the Chamber, Federico Molliconewho underlined the importance of the initiative, which was granted the patronage of the Ministry of Culture.
It will be the Honorable himself who will inaugurate, on the afternoon of 17 April, at the Teatro Comunale di Todi, the event with a session which will see the presentation of the “law proposals” developed by Italian schools on the subject of bullying and cyber bullying, youth violence, respect for the environment and new teaching disciplines, proposals that President Mollicone has undertaken to include on the commission’s agenda.

Thursday 18 Aprilagain at the Theatre, the young people will meet the Prosecutor Raffaele Cantone to present the fruit of their laboratory courses on legality and discuss the topic with the magistrate. In the afternooninstead, the values of sport and the dangers of bullying and cyberbullying are at the centre, with the sports radio commentator Riccardo Cucchi, the director of the Postal Police Michela Sambuchi and the journalist Sonia Montegiove of the National Cyber Security Laboratory.
Third day, Fridaywith guests for the “women’s rights” section the top manager Luisa Todini, followed by Lorella De Rossi, responsible for film make-up for Hollywood productions, and Alessandro Gilotti, expert in nutrition and oil tourism. In the afternoon photo shoot with the professional photographer of Persian origins Leyla Panzolini and fashion show of the clothes produced by the schools with guest of honor Gerardo Sacco, world-famous jewelery designer.
Saturday 20 April focus on road safety, with guests the professional drivers Max Bianchi, Ferrari Challenge world champion, and Alessandro Tarabini, Lamborghini Challenge; scheduled, reserved for parents, is a meeting with top insurance manager Umberto Salinaro, who will talk about policies for new drivers. Following music will be the protagonist with Giuseppe Anastasi, lyricist of Arisa, Carla Quadraccia, teacher at the CET of Mogol, and Anna Del Vacchio, musical author and LIS language expert in music. At the end of the morning, an oriental dance masterclass with guest Raffaella Saturni.
In Piazza del Popolo, where a station with Navy simulators will be present from the first day, the Ferrari and Lamborghini cars will arrive to talk more about safe driving.
Finally, the afternoon was once again dedicated to dance performances and music, with the schools ready to restart to return to their respective places of origin.
Presenting the event will be presenter Greta Pierotti, a well-known face of Rai Yo-Yo, currently involved in activities related to social issues and children’s rights.
The Mayor of Todi, Antonino Ruggiano, in his speech thanked Luigi Giorgietti for choosing Todi, a city that boasts an important history as an educational center of excellence, a role that can only be strengthened by a national initiative with a strong educational value. The positive impact that the event will have in economic terms was also highlighted, with thousands of overnight stays and days spent in the region, and also cultural and tourist promotion of the “green heart”.
The meetings and activities will see the use of the Municipal Theatre, the Eagle’s Nest, the Municipal Council Room, the Stone Room, the Frescoed Room and the Glass Room. Special shifts have been planned for visits to the sites of the city’s cultural circuit and for urban treks organized by the Beverly Pepper Foundation.
