The Pirates of the Caribbean actor Tamayo Perry he died after being attacked by one shark, while surfing in Hawaii. The Honolulu emergency services confirmed his death, who rescued him in the Malaekahana area, north of the island. The 49-year-old took part in the fourth chapter of the saga in 2011, but had also worked in some TV series and commercials. Tamayo Perry, who was a lifeguard and professional surfer, was rescued in the waters off Malaekahana Beach on June 23 and was pronounced dead by paramedics after being brought to shore on a jet ski. Some witnesses stated that the actor was recovered without a leg and an arm.

Perry played one of the buccaneers in 2011 in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of the saga. He has also had roles in some successful TV series such as Lost, Hawaii Five -0, Blue Crush and Charlie’s Angels 2, and appeared in a Coca-Cola advertisement. The actor was originally from Honolulu and had been surfing professionally for over a decade. It wasn’t the first time he had come face to face with death. He had in fact said that several years ago he had been involved in “a strange accident that turned into an almost fatal experience”, a head injury after an impact with a surfboard. Honolulu Security Chief Kurt Lager remembered him as “a lifeguard everyone loved,” adding that he was well known on Oahu’s north shore and around the world.
