The trial involving the former Scottish singer of Spandau Ballet opened in London in recent days Ross William Wild, 36 years old, accused of sexual crimes by five women, three of whom were allegedly raped. Ross Davidson, this is the artist’s real name, allegedly abused women in the period between 2013 and 2023, and there is a video he himself filmed documenting one of the acts of violence he committed.
For Wild, who in 2018 had replaced the historic Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley for less than a year after his farewell to the band, this is not an absolute novelty, given that he ended up in court in 2022 on charges of having harassed six women in their sleep and for blackmailing a seventh victim by threatening to disclose some hot photos.
During the trial which began last Tuesday 11 June at Wood Green Crown Court, the testimonies collected in the courtroom painted the former singer of Spandau Ballet as an individual“with a dark and sinister side that is absolutely manipulative and sadistic” and with the sexual fantasy of abusing victims in their sleep. In one of these circumstances, namely on the occasion of the alleged violence committed against the first woman in her London apartment in Finchley in 2013, the artist even filmed himself.
Richard Hearnden, prosecutor, reported the testimony of another victim who was completely unaware of the fact that she had been filmed during the harassment suffered by Wild. In the reconstruction in the courtroom, others emerged perverse fantasies confirmed by the story of one of the women, such as having sex with dolls And mannequins.
Among the alleged abuses, one occurred in 2018 in Cannes, while the 36-year-old was taking part in the Film Festival and another committed once again within the domestic walls of his home in London: even in this last case the singer not only allegedly abused of the woman, but would have resumed the entire sexual act without any consent. Another victim was a girl that Wild met on a dating site in 2012: she moved to the artist’s apartment in 2015 and here she suffered sexual violence while sleeping.
Obviously the former Spandau Ballet said he was innocent:
“Everything that happened between me and the women involved was consensual”he declared in court, returning to the sender the accusations of sexual violence as well as those of intimidation and voyeurism.
