We start with greetings from the studio to the commentators and to Luce Caponegro, the first eliminated from this edition and returned to Italy. Then Vladimir connects with Honduras and Palapa. Aras and Edoardo Franco are still missing, still struggling with Covid, while Marina Suma has recovered after the accident in the immunity test last episode. The actress, however, is still on anti-inflammatories.
The revolt of Daniele Radini Tedeschi
Having arrived last week, Daniele has no intention of working and adapting to the group’s rules. He says he doesn’t want to account for his behavior to anyone and considers himself on vacation. He then goes so far as to say that he wants to live like a beggar, not to claim his share of food but to live on the “charity” of others. Daniel has found support in Peter, who says he is willing to give half of his food to him to defend his culture and his stories. He too placed himself in opposition to the group. According to Maitè he tries to copy Daniele’s behavior without having the experience. He replies that he has always been like this: “I live as a bohemian, I have always lived at the expense of society.”
The rite of Salvacion
The four nominees are on the platform awaiting the verdict: Elenoire will cut the ropes of the eliminated with the machete. Artur is the first to end up in the water, while Daniele jumps in alone. Not bad because he would have been the second at risk of elimination anyway. Now they will have to challenge each other to a duel to decide who will be nominated.
Two new entries
On the dock there are two new castaways ready to join the group: Sonny Olumati and Rosanna Lodi. He is a dancer/choreographer who is graduating in medicine, she professes to be a great cook. And they are both eager to start this adventure.
The challenge to avoid the nomination
It’s up to Daniele and Artur to compete to avoid going directly to the nomination. The duel is a mix of general culture and physical strength: in fact, you have to answer Elenoire’s questions by picking up plastic snakes while being tied to a pole with an elastic band that makes running more difficult. In the end, Daniele wins. Artur is thus the first nominee of the evening.
Khady’s story
During these days on the island the girl felt the need to open up, to tell the story of her family’s integration and then wanted to thank her mother. She, who is in the studio, cannot hold back her tears.
The leading test
It is the moment of the test from which the two aspiring leaders will emerge. The castaways, in pairs, must stand facing each other holding hands on two sides of a platform which progressively move further away. In the end, those who resist the most are Samuel, already this week’s leader, and Matilde.
The Francesco Benigno case
Francesco was excluded for some behavior not in line with the regulations. In particular, the exclusion is the result of a specific episode that the production decided not to show out of respect for the audience at home. Vladimir closes with a consideration: “On the Island you can discuss and argue but you cannot transcend. The fact that we decided not to show this episode is a sign of respect for the public but Francesco Benigno should also thank us”.
The trial by fire
To decide who between Samuel and Matilde will be the leader of the week, the two castaways must undergo the trial by fire. Peròn first says that whatever happens he would like to hand over the scepter to Brandi “because it’s right for everyone to try the experience of being a leader”, but Vladimir calls him back to loyalty and reminds us that even being a leader two weeks in a row is a castaway’s ordeal. Samuel resists in front of the fire for 2:23, Matilde only 1:24, so Peròn is once again the leader.
The two new castaways
Sonny and Rosanna finally arrive on the Island but… they don’t join the other castaways as they thought. In fact, they are deposited on a secret beach where there are only them and they will have to live the next few days as a couple.
The immunity test
Pietro, Alvina and Khady must defend their immunity by running onto floating platforms and then diving into the sea, recovering a bag still at the bottom. Pietro wins the race by a landslide and obtains the second immunity: he can decide to donate the extra one to another castaway (excluding the two just won). He chooses Daniele.
The secret mission of the “shipwrecked hero”
The group must choose one of the castaways who will face a secret mission that requires courage to obtain a reward. It’s almost a plebiscite for Edoardo Stoppa. Before leaving the island Edward has to name him and he names Khady.
Greta’s protest
Before moving on, Greta wants to complain about something that happened. The girl says that she wanted to vote for a castaway because she broke the rules but that castaway is immune. “I know this is a reality show but I like to play fair” says Greta. Vladi says he knows. Pietro confesses to having eaten food stolen from the cameramen but he does not want to say who stole that food. The solution to the mystery is postponed until later…
The nominations
It’s Peppe’s turn who mentions Maité’s name. Then it’s Greta’s turn who names Khady, Artur names Alvina. Then Pietro arrives with whom Vladi returns to the impropriety denounced by Greta. Pietro insists on not naming the person who stole the food. Then he mentions Maité. Bastianich votes for Peppe “reluctantly” while Khady chooses Maité. Valentina Vezzali also votes for Khady, while Matilde instead gives her vote to Alvina. Daniele nominates Joe. Marina (immune) votes for Peppe. Maité returns the nomination to Peppe. Alvina closes, also mentioning Peppe’s name. Thus, in addition to Artur, the Neapolitan fishmonger, Khady and Maité are nominated. They are joined by the leader’s nominee Samuel who goes by the name of Alvina.
