A code that arrives by email or text message: you go to the pharmacy and collect the medicine. It is a service that 2 million 700 thousand Lombards who receive electronic prescriptions for drugs and visits already use: the region had asked to confirm the choice by 30 April, now the deadline has been extended. There will be no interruption from May 1st, according to the regional welfare department, which however invites citizens to confirm their choice. 50 percent of those who already use it have already done so, through the usual channels: the electronic health record, the Asst choice and revocation offices or by communicating it at the pharmacy or to the general practitioner.
The code debuted during Covid, when interactions had to be reduced to a minimum, but then spread rapidly. For two months the region has started an awareness campaign to push citizens to confirm their choice. Even those who have not yet used the service can join. This morning the health file portal went haywire due to too many requests. The reassurance from the Region: “The confirmation with the renewal must be made, but there is no longer any rush”.
