PLACES IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH MEDICAL COMPETITION 2024

The places available for the competition announced by the Ministry of Health for 31 medical health managers are divided by region as specified below:

• Calabria: n. 2 seats;
• Campania: n. 1 place;
• Emilia Romagna: n. 2 seats;
• Friuli Venezia Giulia: n. 1 place;
• Lazio: n. 3 seats;
• Liguria: n. 6 seats;
• Lombardy: n. 5 seats;
• Puglia: n. 2 seats;
• Sardinia: n. 1 place;
• Sicily: n. 5 seats;
• Tuscany: n. 1 seater;
• Veneto: n. 2 seats.

The winners will be assigned to one of the offices of the Ministry of Health, according to the order of the final ranking, on the basis of regional preferences expressed in the application for participation.

REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

Persons in possession of the general requirements for access to public competitions can participate in the 2024 Ministry of Health competition for doctors, namely:

• citizenship Italian or from one of the countries of the European Union or from other categories indicated in the announcement;
• enjoyment of civil and political rights;
• age not less than 18 years of age and not exceeding the age limit for retirement;
• physical suitability for employment;
• not have been dismissed or discharged from employment in a public administration due to persistent insufficient performance or dismissed for the same reasons;
• have not been convicted with a final sentence for crimes that constitute an impediment to employment in a public administration;
• have not had any criminal convictions with a final judgment and that there are no ongoing criminal proceedings or administrative proceedings for the application of safety or prevention measures;
• To be in good standing with respect to military service obligations (only for competitors required to comply with the obligation);
• knowledge of the English language;
• knowledge of the most widespread IT equipment and applications.

Furthermore, possession of the following is required specific requirements:

• master’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) or any other equivalent qualification according to current legislation;
• specialization diploma / regular registration in one of the disciplines included in the following areas: Medical area and medical specialties, Surgical area and surgical specialties, Diagnostic medicine and services area, Public health area, or in equivalent or similar disciplines;
• qualification to practice the profession of doctor and registration in the Register of Doctors – Surgeons.

HOW THE SELECTION IS MADE

In relation to the number of applications received, we reserve the right to make a possible one trial pre-selectiveconsisting of a series of multiple choice questions in the subjects covered by the exam tests.

The selection of candidates will take place through the completion of a written test, a practical test and an oral test on the following subjects:

• Public health emergency;
• International Health Regulations and International Prophylaxis;
• Epidemiology;
• Hygiene and preventive medicine;
• Elements of forensic medicine and occupational medicine;
• Elements of communication in public health;
• Health surveillance with focus on migrant landings;
• USMAF operating procedures;
• Skills and organization of the Ministry of Health, with particular reference to the USMAFSASN;
• Structure and functions of the World Health Organization;
• Organization, tasks and functions of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC);
• Organization, tasks and functions of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA);
• European legislation for medical devices;
• Elements of labor law, with particular reference to public employment; code of conduct for public employees; crimes against the public administration.

During the oral test, knowledge of the language will also be assessed English, of the most widespread IT equipment and applicationsas well as individual abilities, attitudes and motivations.

HOW TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

The application to participate in the 2024 Ministry of Health competition for doctors must be submitted by May 20, 2024exclusively in via telematics by connecting to the inPA Portal, through the link on this page.

To access the platform you must authenticate using SPID, CIE, or CNS or eIDAS credentials.

We would like to point out that for participation in the competition the payment of the participation fee is due €10.00.
