FALCONARA MARITTIMA – Big party this morning, Saturday 20 April, in via Tommasi, in Castelferrettiwhere the new one was inaugurated open-air sports and health gym. Falconara has in fact joined the Sport di ALL – Parks project, conceived by Sport e Salute Spa (the state company for the promotion of sport and healthy lifestyles) and promoted together with Anci. Around 11 am the ribbon cutting, which he saw as testimonial the Italian Paratriathlon champion Matteo Giambartolomei, resident in Castelferretti. The mayor Stefania Signorini will do the honors, together with the deputy mayor Valentina Barchiesi and the councilors Raimondo Baia (Sport) and Marco Giacanella (Budget). For Sport and Health the regional coordinator Roberta Baudà participated, supported by Giorgio Allegrini. Also present was Tarcisio Pacetti, president of the Gruppo Amici per lo Sport association. Sports associations from Castelferretti and Falconara participated with athletes and managers: Sabini, Pallavolo Castelferretti, Castelfrettese, Arcieri il Falco, Atletica Falconara.
«It is a pleasure to be here to inaugurate this large outdoor gym – began Mayor Signorini – which adds to the structures present in the area. We believe a lot in sport, especially for the values it spreads, especially among young and very young people. Our commitment continues to improve and enrich the offer in the area.” Deputy Mayor Barchiesi has ringratiated with the Sport and Salute company which, with its financing, made it possible to transform the land next to the Fioretti stadium into an equipped area, available to all citizens. «It was a field left uncultivated – he explained – but as an administration we believed in the potential of this area, which with a series of investments, also thanks to the budget councilor Giacanella, is now very popular and frequented by athletes and citizens who want train or simply take a walk in the open air.”
Councilor Baia thanked the sports clubs present and added: «This new outdoor gym has just been installed but is already widely used by citizens. Through the QR Code it is possible to download tutorials that allow you to visualize the most correct way to perform the exercises, a precious tool that many have already learned to use». «These are tutorials – explained Baudà – created with the contribution of great Italian champions, such as Jury Chechi. On behalf of Sport and Health I thank mayor Signorini who believed in this project, born during the pandemic to promote outdoor sport. Sports and Health is the operational arm of the Ministry of Sports and with its projects intends to promote sport for a healthy lifestyle but also as a vehicle for inclusion and aggregation».
Precisely in the name of inclusion came the appeal from Tarcisio Pacetti and Matteo Giambartolomei, who invited the mayor Stefania Signorini to be the spokesperson, within the ANCI, of a request from the CIP, the Italian Paralympic Committee. «Each Municipality – said Pacetti – should insert the CIP logo and the link to the Committee’s institutional website into its portal, useful for creating Paralympic culture and choosing the sports best suited to one’s physical characteristics». Pacetti thanked the administration for its attention to sport and for its ability to participate in tenders that allow it to increase the offer of sports facilities in the area.
