Emergency room doctor challenges Pietrasanta in Quarona
It will be a challenge for two to lead the municipality of Quarona in the next five years. After the obvious confirmation of the outgoing mayor Francesco Pietrasanta that he wants to run again, a challenger has now arrived. This is Dr. Gianluca Macario, emergency doctor in the emergency room of Borgosesia hospital for three years.
«Through a series of meetings and exchanges of opinions – we read in a note released this morning, Thursday 18 April – on the general and local reality, a group of people felt the need to get together to make a contribution of ideas and energy to the Quaronese community. Thus was born the idea of creating a new civic list: “Quarona together”.
A list with new and well-known faces
The promoters speak of an «innovative list which however also makes use of the experience of some administrators from the previous civic list. The need to propose a new list, which will present itself at the next electoral appointment for the renewal of the municipal council in Quarona, therefore arises from the desire to delve deeper into and address health and healthcare issues in the area, including basic medical services and integration with the hospital”.
In addition to this, reference is made to «social policies (equal opportunities, young people, school, art, sport), environmental issues (the hydrogeological structure, greenery, agriculture, local food ), energy communities and the circular economy. On these and other topics relating to the social and economic development of our territory we wish to discuss with the citizens and associations of Quarone, in a constructive administrative electoral campaign”.
This is the purpose of the new list. The challenge to the group headed by the outgoing mayor, as well as president of the Mountain Union, has been launched.
