An afternoon to remember for the girls and boys of Basket4all, who received a visit from the President of the Italian Basketball Federation Giovanni Petrucci and coach Valerio Bianchini. Born from an idea by Alberto Aureli, the project created a team for children with certified diagnoses of the autism spectrum and/or rare diseases. Integrated basketball has proven to be an excellent way to share sports practice and social moments.

The project

Basketball4all is a project dedicated to boys and girls with certified spectrum diagnoses
autistic and/or rare diseases and to whom the practice of sports and in particular the sport of
team seems to be an impossible goal and instead passion, good will and…
perseverance have given young people with intellectual and relational difficulties the opportunity to
get in touch with the ball in segments and try to share the game, rules and baskets.

Born from an idea of Alberto Aureli the project has its own particularity and quality in the creation of
a real team made up of 2 coaches (graduates in motor sciences) and 4 clinicians
Neuropsychomotor therapist, speech therapist, psychologist (mediator in AAC) and an educator
socio-pedagogical professional.

This is how “Basket4All” was born, the experimental integrated basketball project that since January 2020
with many difficulties related to covid – 19, he was able to field 12 kids and
girls between 14-25 years old grappling with the rudiments of basketball
