“Mobile homes” have become a different way of living or traveling, they allow you to easily change the landscapes you want to glimpse from the window. Plus, as Homer Simpson said in one of his legendary quotes: “If you don’t like your neighbors, you can always move.” The best thing about these facilities is that, despite their small size, they are equipped with all the comforts and everything you need. They are also available in different sizes and for different social classes. The caravan that we present below is a relatively large and luxurious model that hides a curiosity: the comforts are both for the owner and for his cat.
A large towable house
This towable house was designed by the company Acorn Tiny Homes and she was called Paddock Paradise. The house sits on a three-axle gooseneck trailer. The size of the trailer is 11.5 meters long, so it is a large enough model for a small house. Its width is just over 3 meters, therefore it requires a special permit to drive on public roads in North America.
Its style and distribution present many similarities with those of a normal dwelling. The exterior design also features metal cladding and faux stone finishes, further simulating a home.
Spaces used
Paddock Paradise It has two entrances. One of the entrances, located at the rear of the trailer, leads to a well-proportioned lounge. The furnishings of this living room are dominated by an L-shaped sofa, accompanied by a fireplace (whose shelf is, in reality, a drawer), a television and various shelves.
In the second of the entrances, located on one of the longitudinal sides of the house, there is the kitchen. This is a fully equipped kitchen with oven and three burner propane stove, convection microwave, farmhouse style sink, and refrigerator with freezer. It also features a breakfast bar, cabinets and a pull-out pantry.
The kitchen leads to the bathroom, equipped with shower, toilet with drain and sink. It also has a stackable washer and dryer. From the bathroom you access the back of the house, where the double bedroom is located. This is quite tall and has a double bed, wardrobe, built-in chest of drawers and shelves.
The house has a mezzanine where an additional second bedroom can be placed with a height that however does not allow standing. However, since there is no need for a second room, the home’s loft is used for storage. Access is via a staircase located in the central part of the house, next to the kitchen bar.
A space for cats
The happiness of the owner’s cats was one of the main aspects to consider when building the towable house. For this reason, in the upper areas of the house there are a series of walkways and tunnels that guarantee a welcoming and playful living space for cats. In the kitchen, hidden in one of the kitchen cabinets, there is a cat flap that easily communicates with a litter box.
