Descriptive text here

The great event dedicated to the world of reading began on April 12th and will end on May 31st. It’s called “Il Maggio dei Libri”, the event entirely dedicated to culture and meeting local and national authors. Also on the program are reading, writing, illustration workshops and more.

The event is organized by the culture department of the Municipality of Patti together with the council of the municipal library of Villa Pisani and the Center for Books and Reading.

The event makes use of the collaboration of several associations, including “Amici di Salvatore Quasimodo”, “Officina delle Idee”, “Ora è Tempo”, “Italia Nostra”, “New Agorà”, “Ali di Carta”, “Teseo ”, “I Picciriddi” and “Libro Aperto”. Also involved are the Proloco of Tindari and the youth council of Patti. There are many locations in which the individual events will take place, from the bishop’s auditorium to the former convent of San Francesco, from the municipal library to the historic “Caffè Galante”, from the Byzantine garden of Tindari to the Terre di Eolo hotel.

In addition to the presentation of books and workshops, the program also includes the “Book Exchange” (organized by Patti’s “Ora è Tempo” Time Bank) and some days dedicated to the exchange of experiences and reading proposals between the students of the city schools inside the library of Villa Pisani. For the little ones, however, “Ad aloud” readings will be offered, scheduled every Friday afternoon by the “Leggodì” reading group together with the “I Picciriddi” association and the “Chapter 18” bookshop.
