“From January 2026 all former Whirlpool workers will be at work, the industrial plan presented today in Rome to the national and local trade unions and to the RSUs definitively confirms this.

The dispute, won since the tender was awarded, today details the provisions for the via Argine plant.

The investments will be over 72 million on production and the factory and over 11 million on research, to which others could be added with an acceleration plan that would bring further carpentry activities to the productions in Via Argine and which could start as early as next month. The acceleration plan, if achievable, will be confirmed in the coming weeks and will include further hiring and investments.

The production of solar trackers, transformers and power skids are confirmed, the production of which will employ all workers and will pave the way for 16 new hires as well as the 294 workers from the former Whirlpool basin who will be added to the Tea Tek employees.

In the meantime, public participation is being defined through Invitalia, for which the company has also given availability to a direct participation in the company’s capital, up to the terms of the law (49%). Italian Green Factory has specified that, should Invitalia not join the corporate structure, the industrial plan will maintain sustainability and proceed within the estimated timescales.

The next appointment will therefore be at the ministerial level for the signing of the program agreement, following which we will hold meetings to inform the workers, for this reason we find it essential that the convocation by the Government takes place quickly, by June.

The political commitment, which we registered in the last meeting on the part of the Ministry, must now become action, to start and mark the end of a long workers’ struggle.”

Barbara Tibaldi, of the Fiom-Cgil national secretariat, and Mauro Cristiani, general secretary of Fiom-Cgil Naples, declared this in a note.
