Nurses & Co., towards the stabilization of all Covid staff. Satisfied unions: “We are working in the right direction”

After the ‘historic’ signing of the supplementary contract, the hiring/stabilization of Asrem staff (nursing and otherwise) continues and in particular of those who had been hired on a fixed-term basis during the pandemic emergency.

Even in these days nurses, midwives, various technicians, after having (finally) signed the permanent contract, are formalizing the so-called definitive assignments in the various hospitals or health services of the Molise health company.

Asrem meets the unions and signs the supplementary contract to enhance professionalism

“A wonderful step forward”, comments Gianluigi Angelucci of Flc Cgil who, with other trade unions, worked for a long time to reach the supplementary agreement, one of the first in healthcare companies and which is “a fundamental tool for the valorisation of the staff which certainly leads to a higher quality of the offer as well as gratification of the workers”.

The ‘hirings’ of recent days – but there have been several for those who saw their contracts expire last December 2022, first, and December 2023, then – have been made possible (provided that the figures have achieved the required requirements ) also because Asrem has reprogrammed the company’s personnel requirements plan. As regards nurses only, the resolution signed by the general director Di Santo dates back to 2 February this year and the number of units to be recruited for the year 2024 has risen to 82. The previous plan, for the years 2022- 2024, had planned the recruitment of a total of 210 staff units in the nurse profile over the three-year period (of which 10 in 2024). With the update of the plan, the units to be hired have become 282.

“But the stabilization of nurses has paved the way for the stabilization of many other figures: midwives, social workers, laboratory technicians,” explains the CGIL nurse-unionist who considers himself “cautiously satisfied” with the path undertaken by the new Asrem management. “Stabilizations and hiring are progressing, the staff was at a standstill and now we are seeing signs of recovery”.
