His absence did not go unnoticed. In the last few hours Alfonso Signorini is no longer reachable on Instagramprecisely from that profile which for years has been one of his main channels of communication with the public. A sudden choice, that of deactivating his personal account, followed by over a million followers, which comes at a particularly delicate moment for the host of Big Brother VIP and which appears closely linked to the recent and controversial statements of Fabrizio Corona.
Alfonso Signorini’s choice on Instagram
It all originated from the episode of The most false aired a few days ago, which Fabrizio Corona defined as “Parte Nuova”, during which the former King of the Paparazzi launched serious accusations against Alfonso Signorini, speaking openly about alleged (non-compliant) recruitment methods of contestants in past editions of the reality show.
But in this tense climate, Signorini chose silence. No direct reply from him and no public statement to deny or counter point by point. The host limited himself to making it known that he had entrusted the management of the matter to his lawyers, maintaining a low profile which today finds further confirmation in the decision to temporarily distance himself from social networks.
The words of his lawyer
His lawyer described the journalist’s state of mind, Andrea Righiwho on Christmas Eve released a statement in which he wanted to summarize what Alfonso Signorini is feeling in these days of great uncertainty: “He is very sorry for the mountain of mud that hit him.” And again. “He is extremely determined and confident that he will soon be able to re-establish the truth of the facts,” added the lawyer, hinting that they could emerge in the future new and surprising elements.
On the judicial level, meanwhile, the matter has already taken a well-defined path. In recent days, Righi filed a complaint against Corona with the Milan prosecutor’s office. The act kicked off an investigation which sees the former Paparazzo registered in the register of suspects for revenge porna passage that marks a point of no return in the public and private management of the conflict. Corona has already been summoned to be heard on his version of events: “For three minutes I spoke about revenge porn and an hour about Alfonso Signorini, about all Signorini’s antics and all his friendships. I collected more than 100 testimonies”, he explained to the journalists who were on site.
Endemol’s statements and Signorini’s future
Endemol Shine Italy, the company that produces the, also took a stand Big Brother VIP. In an official statement, the company made it known that it reserves “any initiative against anyone who may have caused damage to the reputation of the format”, underlining its desire to evaluate including legal interventionsif necessary, against anyone who may have compromised the image of the program.
Alfonso Signorini, for the moment, remains closed in a strict confidentiality. Leaving the scene from social media could be one break neededa protective gesture in a powerful moment media exposure.
