I SICK OF IT ALL they unfortunately cancelled their European tour because the singer Lou Koller was diagnosed with cancer. Koller broke the news on Instagram. We wish Koller all the best and we hope for a speedy recovery.
“Hi everyone. As you may know, we had to cancel our entire European tour this summer. There are some rumors circulating as to why and we’re here to set the record straight. We wanted to wait until we had all the information before making an announcement.
The reason it was canceled is because they found a tumor in my esophagus that goes all the way down to my stomach; I’ll have to get treatment all summer. And obviously I had the full support of the band: as soon as they found out they said ‘forget the tour, get healthy’.
You know we’re not happy about it, even though we all agree that it’s better to stay home. We’re really sorry. I feel sorry for the fans. Our whole crew was counting on the tour, we were going to have another fun summer together, and I feel sorry for all the promoters, but everyone who knew about it right away was really supportive and now everyone knows.
So that’s the reason. No other reason that you may have heard is the truth. That’s the truth. So yeah, just thank you for all your support. And hopefully we can beat this thing and see you at the end of the summer, or maybe in the winter.”
The brother of Lou, Pete Kollerhas launched a fundraiser for medical expenses at this address.
