Parker is a special forces agent who discovers her father’s sudden passing during a mission. She returns to her hometown and in the meantime she also has to take care of the family business, a bar that her father managed. I hadn’t been in hand-to-hand combat and intense action in so long. I really wanted it to be a more intimate type of combat experience if I needed to take someone out.

The cast includes Mark Webber, Tone Bell, Jake Weary, Gabriel Basso And Anthony Michael Hall. The theme of loss it is central to the film and was a precious emotional boost not only for the director, but also for the leading actress. Jessica Alba admitted that she felt a connection with Parker:

I lost my grandfather during the development process of this film. I drew on a lot of that personal experience when I was making the film just because I literally lost someone and I got to use a lot of photos of my family in the bar scenes. It is, after all, a family story.
