She also tells how she managed to cross the finish line, abstaining from alcohol or drugs: «With the help of my brothers and sisters and the 12-step program, I’m making it, one day at a time. And this lifestyle, besides being beautiful, is much easier to follow than I imagined. I wouldn’t trade the hardest and worst day sober for the best day in use.”

When sober, she said again, everything is different: «The program works, it really works. I think different, I talk different, I dream different when sober. This is my almost fifty-year-old face, finally serene.” A personal success also due to the support of those who were alongside her, who take the opportunity to thank: «Thanks to my beloved sponsor and above all thanks to my children for supporting and loving me then and now, as I am learning to understand who I am Truly”.
