Island of the Famous, controversy over what Matilde said to Samuel in the ear: off-air made known. Comments on social media.
The current edition of L‘Island of the famous is approaching its final phase. After years of hosting Ilary Blasi handed over the helm to Vladimir Luxuria who knows the program very well: first she was a castaway, then a correspondent and commentator and finally a presenter. However, the innovations brought to the survival reality show they were not received enthusiastically by the public: episode after episode Luxuria has struggled to establish itself in the TV schedule, the viewing figures have always been low, and the reality show has risked being suspended.
Even the choice of castaways did not contribute to the success of the format. Never before have there been so many withdrawals like this year and this has partially jeopardized the success of the reality show. Despite the different criticisms, the unexpected twists, and some unforeseen events such as various ailments, the Island of the famous has reached the final, which will be broadcast on Wednesday 5 June: Edoardo Stoppa, Alvina Verecondi Scortecci, Artur Dainesee, Aras Senol, and Samuel Peron will compete for the prize money up for grabs.
Samuel Peron played the place in the final with her friend Matilde Brandi. The two bonded a lot during the reality show, and fighting against each other wasn’t easy. During the semi-final the dancer and Peron challenged each other to the test of the Vitruvian man, but first they hugged each other and the former face of dancing with the Stars reminded Vladimir how much Matilde deserves the final: “Vlady, going into a challenge with Matilde is like going into a challenge with a sister and I tell you this from my heart. I believe that she truly deserves the final, beyond the challenge. She deserves to continue.”
Matilde Brandi agreement with Samuel Peron: the rumours
The challenge between Samuel Peron and Matilde Brandi was won by the former dance coach, but according to some off-air sources made known in recent hours the castaway would have suggested Peron some sort of agreement to throw themselves together. It also seems that Matilde, shortly before letting go and jumping into the water, would have suggested to her friend how to behave:
“I’ve arrived, I can’t take it anymore Samu. Look Samu, I can’t take it anymore. Shall we fall together? I really can’t take it anymore. No, oh God I’m falling.” Peron let go a few seconds later and turned out to be the winner, this gave him direct access to the final. Obviously Matilde’s words echoed online and gave rise to a series of comments.
There are those who maintain that Samuel did not hear Matilde and those who instead believe that ithe castaway purposely ignored the words of his adventure companion. The controversy has heated up lively, even if for now the production of the reality show has not released any comments. The two will only be able to comment on the incident when they return to Italy.
