The dress, with its princely charm, was, in reality, a tribute to her husband Frederik, on the day of their twentieth wedding anniversary, which was not celebrated in any way by the royal couple, recently protagonist of several indiscretions. Despite her rumors about her husband’s alleged cheating, Mary of Denmark wanted to remember that special day with a dress from the same designer as her wedding dress. The creation, in fact, was by Birgit Hallstein, a Danish designer who created the most important dress of her life.
The skirt of the dress was wide, while the top hugged her curves and featured matching tulle on the neckline and sleeves. On the waist, the item of clothing was decorated with a satin band. The Queen had already worn the dress in 2015.
