In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Emma Stone opened up about why she chose a stage name to launch her film career, despite preferring to use her real name whenever possible. She, the actress, spoke about it together with her colleague in The Curse Nathan Fielder.
“I would like to say something. Her name is Emily but professionally she uses Emma. So when there are people who don’t know her, I end up saying Emma. But from now on I’ll just say Emily” Fielder began on the topic.
While waiting to see the new film with Emma Stone at the cinema, the actress reiterated and confirmed for the umpteenth time that she uses Emily, her real name, with the people she knows:“When the people I work with get to know me, they call me Emily”. However, Stone would never correct a fan of hers if they called her Emma, even though she prefers to be called by her real name:“No, that would be so kind. I would love to be Emily.” the star commented.
