The Maker of Tears Netflix film: plot, cast, review

Then, however, the film deflates and the story lapses into banality. There are elements – such as the mourning involving the adoptive family and the love between classmates – thrown in without further investigation.

If the photography It’s of a good standard, the screenplay isn’t. It borrows passages from the book, but does not do justice to the 600-odd pages of the novel (which, it must be pointed out, not everyone liked). The acting of most of the actors is rather poor: the beauty of some of them is not enough to give body and credibility to the characters.
