Fiat Grande Panda was the big news of Fiat in 2025. Presented in July 2024, orders opened at the beginning of the year for both the 100 percent electric and hybrid versions. It was also added to these at a later time the version with petrol engine and a decidedly interesting price. Today, almost a year after the market launch of the new Fiat model, we would like to point out a price increase for the hybrid version.
Fiat Grande Panda MHEV: prices increase almost a year after market launch
We are referring to the Fiat Grande Panda Pevthe one which to be clear is characterized by the presence of the 1.2 liter mild hybrid engine with 110 horsepower. This version of the car from the Turin company until a few days ago cost in the entry level version with Pop trim 18.900 euroin the intermediate version with Icon trim 20.400 euro and finally in the top of the range La Prima version the prices started from 23.400 euro. Now, however, the Turin company has decided to increase the prices of its car by 1,000 euros for each trim level. This means that the Pop version now starts from 19.900 eurothe Icon version from 21.400 euro and finally the top of the range La Prima da 24.400 euro.
At the moment the price increase concerns only and exclusively the MHEV version of the Fiat Grande Panda. While the 100 percent electric which as we know is the most expensive and the one with a petrol engine which is the cheapest remain unchanged. Probably Fiat’s goal was to increase the distances between the petrol and hybrid versions. We remind you that at the moment the petrol version in Pop trim which is the entry level of the range starts from 16.900 euro net of various incentives and promotions.
It is plausible that the objective is also to more clearly mark the distance between the Fiat Grande Panda and the traditional Panda, which recently took on the name Pandina. The latter, in fact, is offered at an equal starting price at 15,950 eurospromotions excluded, in the basic version of the range, and then progressively rise up to 19.050 euro required for the Cross trim level, which represents the top of the offer. In this scenario, the choice for the customer is more linear and immediate, especially if we consider that the Grande Panda today has an entry price that is around 1,000 euros higher than that of the Pandina Cross. This positioning helps to more clearly outline the role of the two models within the range, avoiding overlaps and potential uncertainties at the time of purchase.
It is clear that price increases never meet the public’s approval, but it must also be considered that car manufacturers frequently intervene on price lists based on multiple factors. These include the strategies adopted by competitors, the internal dynamics linked to costs and product development, as well as sales trends. The prices, therefore, they are not static, but the result of a complex balance between market, industrial strategy and commercial feedback. We will see if from this point of view there will be further surprises over the next few weeks or if this increase in the hybrid version is destined to remain at least as far as the Fiat Grande Panda is concerned an exception.
