Bologna, 1 January 2026 – Everything is closed, or almost everything New Year’s. I supermarkets today a Bologna essentially all of them have their shutters down, after yesterday evening they brought forward the closing, even to 6pm in some cases, to allow the employees to celebrate with the New Year’s Eve together with relatives and friends. The reopening is scheduled for everyone tomorrow, Friday 2 January.
Stores are closed, as for other holidays Coop, Esselunga, Lidl e pure i Pam (also the one in via Marconi)Despar (including that of the station), Conad e Aldi which had remained open on December 26th, today have the lights turned off on Boxing Day.

New Year’s shopping: where to go in Bologna
If there is nothing left of the dinner and the fridge is frighteningly empty, you can turn to a couple of Carrefour Express of the center of Bologna which were also open at Christmas, those of Major Roadat number 31 from 10am to 9pm, and Margaret Gardensa Porta Castiglioneopen from 10am to midnight.
For last minute purchases, under the Two Towers you can also contact the neighborhood shopswhich essentially offer ethnic products but also basic foodstuffs.
