Bringing the group, on a growth path that has continued for some time, to new heights in size, approaching two billion in revenues. Unique path, for a group that ten years earlier was just over a tenth the size of current values ​​and which in 2018 had a perimeter of 4,700 employees, half compared to today. With growing requests, looking at the over 200 open positions that occupy 14 different pages of the group’s website.

«Between new acquisitions and organic growth – explains the CEO – I believe that next year we will be able to exceed the threshold of 10 thousand units, continuing at our pace. Which on average sees a new entry every three days. As for anyone in our sector, the crux lies precisely in the supply of skills, which is insufficient. We still see ample room for development for us and if I really have to indicate a limit to growth it is here, in the availability of personnel: if we found more employees we could grow even more”.

In any case, we “console ourselves” with the current trend, which for software activities, about a billion in revenues, also sees double-digit growth in the order of 15% in 2024. Activities powered by an expanded team of over 2,000 developers, between central activities and branches within individual companies, skills that are now also oriented towards developments towards artificial intelligence. With applications that range from catering (automatic receipt issuing based on a photograph of the tray presented at the cash register), hospitality (calculation algorithms for hotel prices based on multiple seasonal and local variables), the business world (chatbots to manage customer requests, software for the automatic analysis of CVs received), accountants (receipt-payment reconciliation, customer-supplier accounting).

“It’s a world in great evolution in which there is still a lot to do – explains Zucchetti – and for this reason we have brought on board new skills, from data scientists to graduates in mathematics, profiles that we previously did not seek systematically. In these areas, the objective is always the same, that is, to simplify the life of companies as much as possible by providing them with new tools to improve their processes and better achieve their objectives. We believe that a winning idea was to integrate the solutions, developing specific vertical applications for individual market niches that, however, easily communicate with accounting and management control systems”.

In parallel, the addition of new pieces to the group proceeds, started in 1978 as an accounting firm by Alessandro’s father, Mino Zucchetti, an acquisition strategy which also required the creation of an ad hoc figure, the integration manager, a person who works full time to maximize synergies and standardize processes and procedures of the newly acquired companies.
