Bruno Francescon, president of the Perla Nera Consortium, together with partners Andrea Peviani and Sergio Giardina, collected the prestigious award during the final event of the Protagonists of Italian Fruit and Vegetables in Reggio Calabria. This recognition was awarded by a jury made up of over one hundred participating companies, demonstrating the sector’s strong appreciation for the commitment and passion that characterize the consortium’s work.

The Consortium holds the exclusivity of cultivation in Italy, carefully selecting the most suitable areas ranging from Sicily to Lombardy, passing through Puglia, Basilicata, Lazio, Sardinia and Emilia-Romagna.
The Fruit and Vegetable Oscar was not the only award awarded during the ceremony. Among the awarded companies there are also those associated with Confagricoltura such as Ortolanda by Willem-Jan Coolbergen in Lazio and Coab in Calabria. The latter also obtained the Bper Banca recognition for “Green Innovation 2024” sustainability, highlighting how innovation and respect for the environment are increasingly crucial factors in the agricultural sector.
