After months of anticipation, the new Fiat Grande Panda has arrived. The legendary city car takes up the original design of the first Panda, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1980 and is proposed as a global model for Fiat. The Big Panda will be 3.9 meters long and will have 5 seats and will be built in Serbia on the Smart Car platform of the Stellantis group, on which another three new models will be produced which we will see at the rate of one per year until 2027.

Electric or hybrid

«The best way to celebrate 125 years of our brand is to start writing the first pages of our future, starting with the new Big Panda. Designed in Turin by our Style Center, the model embodies the values ​​of the original Panda. With the aim of consolidating the brand’s global presence, this compact car is based on a global platform”, declared Olivier Francois, CEO of Fiat. The Big Panda it will come in an electric or hybrid version with prices for the battery variant around 23 thousand euros, while the hybrid will cost less than 20 thousand euros. For the engine chapter, the electric Grande Panda will have 113 horsepower and more than 300 kilometers of autonomy, while the hybrid will have the 1.0 three-cylinder petrol engine with 100 horsepower.

Square design

The exterior of the new Fiat Grande Panda features a combination of structured lines and soft but decisive surfaces, which highlight the robust wheel arches. The compact will be available with bright body colors, such as, for example, yellow. The wedge-shaped construction of the body is accentuated by the roof bars which move the highest viewing point towards the rear. As a tribute to the classic Panda 4×4, the Grande Panda features 3D-printed bas-relief letters on the doors that reflect the surrounding environment and enliven the lower part of the side.
