Big changes when it comes to speeds on the road, with those who exceed the limits about to experience dark times.
In recent years, an increasingly decisive focus has been placed on the regulation of Traffic Laws, so that this can avoid tragic road deaths as much as possible. One of the most common causes that has caused enormous tragedies is unfortunately linked to the high speed of certain motorists.
A situation that necessarily needs to be resolved as soon as possible, with speed cameras becoming increasingly more precise, so much so that in Veneto the front ones are also about to be born. This is a project that is already common in many European countries, including neighboring Austria, with the camera not only evaluating the speed of the car, but also the behavior of the driver.
In this way it will be possible to penalize more easily even those who use their mobile phones while driving or who do not use their seat belts. Furthermore, it will no longer be possible to exchange identities in the case of points deduction, with this practice having sadly become very common over the years. But now other innovations are arriving and they are a big blow for those who abuse speed on the road.
Mandatory speed limiter: the new European law
July 1, 2024 will not be a day like any other for large car manufacturers, in fact the new law linked to cybersecurity. This is a project that will allow the safety systems inside cars to be increased as much as possible, thus significantly avoiding the risk of accidents.
Among the various innovations that will become mandatory for cars, therefore no longer just optional, there is for example the system ISA, that is to say Intelligent Speed Assistance. The latter is not the same system as the Cruise control, where the motorist himself decides at what speed to stabilize his car, but in this case the vehicle itself will understand what the speed limit to respect is thanks to the data GPS.
Speed controls via ISA they could happen in various ways, many have in fact chosen the path of an acoustic noise that warns the driver, others have preferred to make the accelerator harder when speed is exceeded. However, for those who wish to continue racing like a demoniac on Italian roads, putting their own lives and those of others at risk, it will still be possible to deactivate the system, but fromJuly 1, 2024 this innovation will be present on all vehicles.
