New electric MINI Cooper it officially debuted in September 2023 and has also been available on the Italian market for a few months. On the occasion of the press test of the new electric (Luigi’s video with driving impressions will arrive soon), the car manufacturer provided some further details as well as new images of the car.

We remind you that the new electric is offered in MINI Cooper E and MINI Cooper SE versions. The first can count on a 135 kW/184 HP engine and a torque of 290 Nm. In terms of performance, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.3 seconds, while the maximum speed is 160 km/h . Powering everything is a battery with a capacity of 40.7 kWh (36.6 kWh usable) which allows a WLTP range of 305 km.

The second, however, has a unit with a power of 160 kW/218 and 330 Nm of torque. In this case it takes 6.7 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, while the maximum speed is 170 km/h. The battery offers a capacity of 54.2 kWh (49.2 kWh usable) and allows a WLTP range of 402 km.

Speaking of charging, in alternating current it will be possible to fill up on energy at a maximum power of 11 kW. In direct current, however, up to 75 kW with the smaller battery and up to 95 kW with the larger capacity one.

The look of the interior is minimalist, with the dashboard which is dominated by a 9.4-inch OLED circular central display. From the screen it will be possible to view all the operating information of the car, the classic instrumentation is missing, as well as being able to manage all the digital functions made available by the infotainment.

In particular, the infotainment system features the new MINI Operating System 9 operating system and 5G connectivity is also present, in addition to the “MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant” voice assistant. Optionally it will be possible to have a Head-Up Display.
