Unes fresh milk recalled due to anomalous taste, flour reported

The Ministry of Health and Unes supermarkets have reported two new recalls. This is Unes pasteurized fresh milk which, as in the case of Esselunga and Pavilat brand milk, has an anomalous taste and a batch of 00 flour due to undeclared allergens.

The lure of fresh Unes milk

Unes supermarkets have also published a voluntary recall by the manufacturer of a batch of high quality pasteurized partially skimmed and whole fresh milk under its own brand. As mentioned, the reason stated on the recall notice is the report of an abnormal taste. The product in question is sold in 1 liter PET bottles with an expiry date of 05/09/2024, corresponding to the production batch.

The Latteria Soresina Società Cooperativa Agricola company produced the recalled fresh milk for Unes Maxi Spa. The production plant is located in via Dei Mille 13/17, in Soresina, in the province of Cremona (identification mark IT 03 171 CE).

Yesterday, May 8, Esselunga also reported the recall of the same batch of fresh milk produced by Latteria Soresina and sold under the Esselunga and Latte Pavilat brands (read the article on the first recall of fresh milk here).

As a precaution, the company recommends not consuming milk with the expiry date indicated above. Consumers who may be in possession of the recalled products can return them to the Unes store where they were purchased. The call of flour

The Ministry of Health, however, has issued a recall by the operator of a batch of 00 soft wheat flour for fresh pasta under the Molino Soncini Cesare brand. The reason indicated is the lack of precautionary labeling for the possible presence of mustard and lupine allergens. The affected product is sold in 1 kg packs with the batch number L7 and the best before date (TMC) 20/02/2025.

The Eredi Fontanella Vittorino company packaged the recalled 00 flour for Molino Soncini Cesare Srl. The production plant is located in via Giuseppe Garibaldi 40, in Monte Cremasco, in the province of Cremona.

As a precaution, people allergic to mustard or lupins are advised not to consume flour with the marked batch number. The product is safe for consumers who are not allergic to mustard and lupins.

From January 1st 2024 The Food Fact reported 100 recalls, for a total of 219 products. Click here to see all recall notices, withdrawals and revocations.
