Land Rover is preparing to launch the new Defender Octa on the market, defined in the past by the car manufacturer as the most powerful Defender ever. Now, we have a date for the presentation of this new model. Land Rover will unveil the new Defender Octa on July 3. The new model will be characterized by a dedicated look and a series of particularly refined technical solutions.

The car manufacturer has recently shared a series of first images of the Defender Octa, obviously still camouflaged. Furthermore, this model was also the protagonist of several spy photos. From what we could see, the automaker has revised the grille, probably to improve engine cooling. Furthermore, the car will be able to count on widened wheel arches.

Under the hood we will find a V8 Twin Turbo mild-hybrid petrol engine. Although no particular details have been provided, it should be the same 4.4-liter displacement unit that we find present on the Range Rover Sport, capable of offering 635 HP (467 kW) with 750 Nm of torque.

The car manufacturer has worked a lot on the set-up to improve driving dynamics in all conditions. In this regard, this new model will be able to count on the 6D Dynamics suspension which combines interconnected hydraulic shock absorbers, height-adjustable air springs and semi-active pitch control.

To tune the car, Land Rover conducted over 13,960 tests in addition to the standard Defender testsincluding handling and durability tests at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, wet asphalt at Ladoux in France, ice in Sweden, rallying at Lastours in France, sand deserts in Dubai, as well as the rocks of Moab in Utah, USA.

Ahead of the reveal, interested customers will be able to register to attend one of seven exclusive Defender Elements events at private locations around the world – from the UK, Germany and Italy in Europe, to the US, Dubai and Japan.
