the tests have begun, the shots set the web alight

A new SUV is arriving from Asia that is already making fans dream, and which can take the market by storm. Here are all the details.

The SUV market is experiencing a period of exciting form, and this is also confirmed by the sales quotas that have been achieved. Both in Italy and in Europe, Sport Utility Vehicles reached 52% market share, a fact that was unthinkable until a few years ago, but which now corresponds to reality. These vehicles are appreciated for the great comforts they make available to customers, but also for their safety and size.

SUVs are king and are leading to the decline of cars such as station wagons and even city cars, and manufacturers are betting everything on them. In the next lines, we will tell you about one great news coming from Asia, full electric and with excellent powerand we are certain that it could win over a large part of the customers.

SUV, here is the new Mahindra XUV 400

Asian countries are therefore bringing into play a myriad of innovations in the automotive sector, and this new SUV is certainly one of the most anticipated. We are talking about the Mahindra XUV 400, which is essentially the full electric variant of the XUV 300, which is equipped, however, with thermal engines. In the spy photos that we can see here, the car is in action during a test carried out in Scandinavia, on a frozen lake.

Very often, new electric cars are tested in the cold to test their capabilities and any problems they may encounter, and it seems that the test went as expected. From an aesthetic point of view, the electric variant will be identical to the thermal one, and the same also applies to the passenger compartment and a good part of the technical specificationsand therefore confirms some innovations already seen on the 300.

For example, we can see a front end that has been updated, as well as a revised front headlight design. The LED daytime running lights are C-shaped, and a difference, dictated by obvious reasons compared to the internal combustion variant, we find it in the front grille which has been covered. Front parking sensors also arrive, but the entire ADAS system has also been updated in accordance with the new European directives.

The SUV we are talking about will not be a complete revolution compared to the previous model, but it is more correct to talk about restyling, given that there are not too many new features. From the point of view of the powertrain we have confirmation of this, given that, based on rumours, it should remain unchanged. The engine should confirm 150 horsepower of maximum power with 310 Nm of torquewith a 39.4 kWh battery pack.

From the point of view of automation, the new Mahindra will allow you to travel 456 km between one charge and another, but it is likely that there will also be a variant with less autonomy. We still don’t know what the prices are, nor the time of release on the market, but we can imagine that this will happen by the end of the year.
