Xiaomi aims to deliver 100,000 SU7s in 2024

Xiaomi’s adventure in the automotive sector it certainly started off on the right foot. The first model, the SU7 electric sedan, is achieving great success and the Chinese company is working to increase production in order to satisfy the growing requests from customers.

During Xiaomi’s Investor Day, CEO Lei Jun underlined that as of April 20, the new SU7 has already received over 70 thousand orders. Furthermore, interest in the car continues to be high and for this reason we are working, as mentioned at the beginning, to increase production capacity. The goal for 2024, according to what Lei Jun says, is to go and deliver 100 thousand cars.

Definitely interesting numbers that demonstrate how Xiaomi’s project is succeeding. We remind you that the electronics giant announced its intention to enter the automotive sector only in 2021. In about 3 years it managed to create a structure from scratch and launch its first model on the market. Obviously Xiaomi’s objectives are much more ambitious and there is already talk of a second model which could be an SUV. The company did not want to go into details but rumors speak of a possible debut at the end of 2024.

In the meantime, Xiaomi will focus on the new SU7 whose deliveries have already started. Indeed, as we have seen, they are moving forward at a faster pace than Xiaomi had planned.

After starting deliveries of the special “Founders Edition” version, Xiaomi has already started delivering “customized” models of the standard and Max versions to customers. Deliveries of the SU7 Pro version will start in May.

Let us briefly recall the characteristics of the SU7 which is proposed in SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max versions.
