meal vouchers for 9.40 euros and one thousand euros of welfare

Large meal vouchers, dentist and check-ups, allowances for commuting to work, pension funds, car insurance policies. It took until 2.30 am to reach an agreement between Fabi, the other sector unions and Iccrea on the first supplementary contract of the mutual banks belonging to the group.
Now the ball passes to the cooperative banking meetings which will have to ratify it. It concerns 22,276 workers out of 115 credit institutions receiving the Federcasse national contract. The new rules, which replace the current supplementary bargaining stipulated at local and company level, are in addition to the agreements on agile working in 2022 and on production value in 2023. «We are proud to have ensured the 22,276 workers of the Iccrea group a contract which overall provides greater protection for everyone: better welfare coverage, with provisions that until now were only provided in some territories, limitation of inconveniences deriving from territorial mobility and significant increase in meal ticket with equalization throughout the national territory”, comments the Fabi coordinator in the Iccrea group, Piergiuseppe Mazzoldi.
«We are particularly satisfied with the agreement reached with the trade unions for the benefit of all the collaborators of the BCC Iccrea Group banks, the parent company and the Direct Perimeter Companies – commented Mauro Pastore, general manager of the Bcc Iccrea Group -. An agreement that is part of the path of the Group plan which is developed, also at the level of industrial relations, according to strong attention to ESG parameters. The new contract also provides all our collaborators with a series of benefits that encompass health and prevention, insurance protection and mobility support and overall showing a profound commitment to the well-being of all the group’s workers”

One thousand euros in welfare

In detail, the agreement provides that from 1 May meal tickets will go from an average of 8 euros to 9.40 euros for those who work at least 5 hours; for part-time workers the increase in percentage terms is more significant because it goes from an average of around 6 euros to 8.80 euros; the voucher is worth 6 euros for a presence of less than 5 hours. The alternative is a canteen substitution allowance of 7 euros.
A welfare chapter was also included in the agreement report, the items of which overall are worth 1,000-1,100 euros and provides the possibility of using dental services and prevention check-up packages through the National Mutual Fund from 2025; a one-off contribution of 50 euros for fiscally dependent children and for new born or adopted children and a 25 euro contribution in the following 2 years if the worker pays a voluntary contribution of the same amount. A Kasko policy is also offered for insurance against damage suffered by the private car in the event of authorized use for service reasons or to attend training courses.

To equalize all employees, who enjoy different risk coverage in the event of death or disability due to accident, the coverage in both cases has been raised to the maximum and will be the same for all workers: over 92 thousand euros for the risk of death from injury and over 135 thousand euros for the risk of disability. What is new, however, is the inclusion of coverage against the risks of death and permanent disability due to illness, with a maximum limit of over 92 thousand euros. A “mobility allowance” has also been planned for staff employed for at least three years who have been transferred to another municipality more than 50 kilometers away from their place of residence or domicile: a bonus of 40 cents per kilometer will be paid for the outward journey only beyond the 30th kilometre. The sum will be paid for 8 years and the measure applies from 1 April and also for those who have been transferred since March 2019. An alternative provides for the reimbursement of public transport season tickets. A portal will also be set up to advertise open intragroup positions.
