Audi is working on developing several new electric models as part of its ambitious electrification plan. The house of the 4 rings plans, for example, to debut the new Audi A6 e-tron during 2024. This new model will also be subsequently proposed in the more high-performance RS6 version. This very car was intercepted during a training session test on the Nurburgring circuit (and in the surrounding area), an ideal place to develop high-performance models

The car featured in the spy photo it still appears camouflaged with films covering the bodywork. In any case, several things can still be noticed starting from the presence of the split headlights. Compared to the spy photos of the Audi A6 e-tron, it can also be observed that the RS6 will be able to count on a revised front with a more elaborate bumper with different shaped air vents.

Furthermore, you can notice a widened track, a lowered ride height, an increased braking system and a new rear diffuser. The images do not allow you to see the cockpit but the setting should not be too different from that seen on the new Audi Q6 e-tron. So it’s possible that the new car could count on the Audi Digital Stage consisting of the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit, the 14.5-inch display of the MMI infotainment system and the 10.9-inch dedicated passenger screen.

However, as regards the mechanics, there is no precise information yet. The new A6 e-tron will be based on the PPE platform, the same used by the Q6 e-tron. The sportier SQ6 e-tron quattro can count on a system power (double electric motor) of 380 kW (517 HP) and 820 Nm of torque. On the future RS6 e-tron it is possible that the power will be even higher.

We’ll probably know more when Audi debuts the new A6 e-tron. The RS6 version is likely to arrive at a later date. In a few months we will have more details.
