A new hotel residence is inaugurated in the Cenisia-San Paolo district which will mainly cater to university students. It is called Taurasia Living and is located in the former Diatto area, an old industrial structure which was also the subject of occupation. The investment was made by Patrizia Investments, which decided to invest in Turin, focusing on the internationalization of the city. As Fabrizio Trani, the company’s asset manager, explained, to date foreign students represent 50% of those who choose the structure, mainly Chinese, Turkish and French.

“Turin is the second most expensive Italian city for rooms to rent immediately after Milan, they cost on average 550 euros per month”, explains Trani, “we offer all-inclusive rates which include utilities, wifi, common areas, change of linen once once a week, common spaces, the assistance of a person who is trained to provide reception services, including administrative and legal ones”.

The structure stands on an area of 18,000 square meters and overlooks a park. In total there are 582 rooms spread over five floors of which 30 are for disabled people. There is a gym, a cinema, study rooms and kitchens. Furthermore there is an underground car park with 140 parking spaces. The student residence does not currently have an agreement with EDiSU Piemonte, the body for the right to education, and therefore there are no affiliated beds available for students who are entitled to them.
