Benedetto VignaCEO of Ferrarirevealed the inauguration date of the new structure intended to strengthen the electrification strategies of the Emilian company: “On June 21st, two years after the presentation of our capital markets day, we will inaugurate e-building which will allow us to respond to the production needs of the future and where batteries and axles for electric cars will be made”, stated the manager during the shareholders’ meeting. Vigna underlined how the structure is part of a broader commitment on the innovation, which has already led to a “significant increase” in the number of patents: “In 2023 alone we presented 181 applications”, the manager pointed out.

The prospects. The assembly, which approved the budget 2023, the distribution of dividends for a total of 440 million euros and the confirmation of the current Board of Directors, was also an opportunity to reiterate the positive prospects. In 2024, Ferrari “will continue to grow the top line, while consolidating margins. We expect these to expand further towards the end of the current business plan.” Furthermore, “three important product innovations” will debut in the coming months.

Formula 1. A passage on sporting activities could not be missing: “We will compete at the top in Formula 1 and Endurance”, clarified Vigna. “We recently confirmed the WEC teams, and in Formula 1 we strengthened our team and expanded the production area, which is already operational.” President John Elkann also spoke about the racing world, recalling the victory at Le Mans of last June 11th (“an unforgettable day”) and underlining how “difficult and often lacking in satisfaction” the Formula 1 season has been. “We know that we must continue to work tirelessly”, concluded Elkann. “The passion of millions of fans around the world is what drives us to constantly improve.”
