Banking stocks are in the spotlight on the day of the first quarterly results of the US financial giants: UniCredit in the spotlight. Utilities are recovering.

The major Italian Stock Exchange indices and the main European financial markets record record fractional variations in the last session of the week.

At 3.25pm FTSEMib recorded an increase of 0.37% to 33,838 points, after having fluctuated between a minimum of 33,757 points and a maximum of 34,130 points. UniCredit confirms itself in positive territory (+0.59% to 34.17 euros), on the day in which the shareholders’ meeting met which approved the 2023 financial statements and resolved the distribution of a unit dividend of 1.8029 euros. Furthermore, the institute announced that the ECB has approved a €3.1 billion buyback to complete the 2023 share buyback program. Together with the proposed dividend, this leads to a total distribution for 2023 of €8.6 billion euros.

Utilities are recovering. In particular, Is in the gains 3.05% to 5.881 euros.

The rise of stands out Saipem (+3.61% to 2.408 euros).

Worth noting is the brilliant performance of Amplifon (+3.13% to 31.22 euros). Equita sim analysts have raised the target price on the company from 29 euros to 33 euros; the experts confirmed the indication to keep the shares in the portfolio.
